Last week I reported about the birds in my gum trees outside. It's got even
noisier . I had a quick check this morning and noted the following:
Rainbow Lorries - dozens
Musk Lorries - hundreds
Purple-crowned Lorries - a few
Eastern Rosies - a few
Adelaide Rosies - a few
Noisy Miners - far too many
New Hollanders - dozens
White-plumers - a few
Spotted Turtlies - on the road feeding on seeds put out by neighbours
- ca six
Crested Pigeons - ca a dozen - also feeding on road
White-backed Maggies - two families - watching proceedings
Sulphur-cresteds - ca ten flying about the place and screeching
Blackbirds - a couple - spreading my mulch all over my footpaths
Striated Pards - there, but currently drowned out by the Lorries
BFCS - one or two
Little Ravens - a pair flapping around checking out the noise
Aaaaanndd , NO Sparrows or Starlings, all off to WA I suppose.
Tony.
