The Little Bittern is a listed threatened species under the Flora and
Fauna Guarantee Act 1988. Try lobbying the regulator (Department of
Sustainability & Environment) to see if they have taken a position on
this proposed action. You could try the regional manager of DSE for the
Port Phillip Region.
