Thanks, Steve, for your posting about the Little Bittern in the small
ponds at Moonstone Walk, Bundoora.  I arrived at 10:10 AM & at 10:13 was
lucky enough to see it fly from left to right & land on top of tall
reeds opposite the small gazebo at the left hand pond.  In company with
Ray we had it in the scope for 10-15 minutes of excellent viewing, a
"lifer" for both of us, so we are well pleased.  We believed it to be a
female Little Bittern.

Also present Blue-billed Duck & lots of other water fowl.  Ray had seen
Baillon's Crake earlier in the morning too.  This is an great spot that
I (& I suspect many others) didn't know about so very many thanks for
alerting us.
