G'day allI saw a pair of Pied Oystercatchers near the carpark at the causeway to Griffith Island, Port Fairy, Victoria yesterday. One had three bands on each leg. The left leg had green over red over white and the right leg had green over green over metal. The bird appeared to be quite comfortable with its ornamentation. If anyone can tell me where this bird was banded I'd be interested to know. The only other bird of interest was what appeared to be a moulting Little Penguin on rocks near the lighthouse.
