Was birding Wattle Forest, Royal NP on Sunday and spotted a red browed finch at the edge of the rainforest. First time I have seen one, so I don't know if this is unusual. Quite a good range of species (30+) was seen, including a green catbird and varigated fairy wrens foraging on the palms and sandpaper figs, coming to within less than a metre. No sign of the shrike tits or painted honeyeaters reported from this site last week. regards, Chris Ross Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
