However, I had occasion to check the archives for an address yesterday
morning. I noticed two stories that seemed to be attracting a lot of
attention. One was about the Canada Goose and the other was about theft
from cars.

In the light of the discussion that finally led to my unsubscribing, I
counted the postings this morning.

Canada Goose  32
Theft                 13

The first seems to boil down to "it is a feral and should be destroyed but
let me tick it first".

The second topic is something that any sane person knows about and takes
precautions.

How come there is no discussion of relevance or complaints about the number
of messages? Is it because the first topic is about "ticking" and the
second is about something that only happens to "others" and not birders?

The hypocrisy of many on this list is what is turning away subscribers - not
"irrelevance".

All hate mail direct please.

Terry Pacey
