Hi Everyone,
I was at Lerderderg Gorge near Bacchus Marsh, Victoria with some friends on Sunday and saw a Helmeted Guinea Fowl feeding on the lawn near the picnic area. It eventually made its way up a hill and disappeared into the scrub. Does anyone know whether this bird would be an escapee, or if there is a feral population in this area. I could only find records of feral populations of this species in north Queensland.

Cheers Paul.
