Gidday Birders, I have just received a call form a birdo friend in East Kurrajong (north west outskirts of sydney) saying that he had an 'uncountable' flock of White-browed Woodswallows at midday today. The birds were everywhere from feeding in the trees to black specks in the sky, spread over all visible sky. Not necessarily large numbers, just difficult to count. They appeared to be catching a ride on the westerly winds blowing today. With any luck this is the start of a good woodswallow year and hopefully there are other species included the flock.
