Both are more easily seen at Wynum Manly area on the south side of the Brisbane River. The Kingfisher is as certain as any bird is at Wynum Boardwalk and the Honeyeater is safest on Fisherman's Island around the end opposite the port (good for Acocet's as well).

I have seen the Honeyeater at Boondal but not every time.

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] RFI -Redcliffe/ Boondall

Hi all

I will have one night at Redcliffe, QLD in a couple of weeks. Have thought about birding at Boondall Wetlands but having not been there before don't know whether there are gates, opening times etc?? If anyone can advise that would be much appreciated. there are two species in particular that I am after, Mangrove Honeyeater and Collared Kingfisher. Any potential sites around Redcliffe ? I only want to see them , not poach ( or fry ) them!.

Thanks in advance
