A voyage to Ashmore Reef from Broome 14-21.10.02 needs some keen birders or
interested persons. Cost is $2000. The voyage also visits Lacepede Islands
and Scott Reef. Highlights in recent years have included Bulwer's Petrel,
Jouanin's Petrel, Swinhoe's Storm-petrel, Matsudaira's Storm-petrel, Leach's
Storm-petrel, Arctic Warbler and Pechora Pipit. Very good for cetaceans,
marine reptiles, a tremendous diversity of terns and shorebirds plus other
seabirds. The food is excellent and it is an extraordinary travel
experience.
The boat is a twin masted ketch called the Jodie Anne II. Currently on board
are George Swann, Sean Dooley and Mike Carter plus myself. Please do not let
