Outrageous price, isn't it, John?

Why for $1800 you could buy two, maybe three even if you were lucky, of the
individual illustrations from Gould's seven volume set of Birds of Australia
- if they came on the market as they have on rare occasions, when someone
dismembers a set to sell for maximum profit.

It happened once to my knowledge up here in Brisbane. I thought to get me
the White-browed Scrub-wren for which I have a special personal affection.
I reckoned it would go cheap being just a SBB and not colourful. I found
alas, that Gould had thought along similar lines, and had added a bit extra
in the way of vegetation. The Art Gallery had priced it way out of my
range!

So look on HANZAB as an investment - for your Great, Gt., Gt., ..... Gt
Grandchildren. Though I don't think it will ever reach Gould prices.

Syd
