Well,
This film still do better than any Hollywood movie where doesn't matter if
you are in Africa, Asia or in the Amazon jungle you always will hear some
kookaburras on the background....
Not to mention the Macaws flying in the heart of Africa...
Cheers
Alex

Hello all. Lorne here...
Philip noyce's RABBIT PROOF FENCE did have a Black Kite visual,
accompanied by a Whistling Kite call.
Interestingly, Peter Gabriel's musical score featured the calls of
Australian Magpies slowed right down to create otherworldly tectures.
The call had been altered so dramatically, it was very hard to hear any
of the original magpie sound. Gabriel wanted to create a score that
actually came out of the sounds of the Australian landscape.
Also... MIDNIGHT OIL's new CD 'Capricornia' features an image of a flock
of Little Corellas on the disc, and a Crested Bellbird calls on one
track.
Interesting stuff.
Peace,
Lorne.
