LYREBIRD ANGER?

One thing I meant to mention ages ago...

In late January, I had a great experience with a Superb Lyrebird, at
Bobbin Head, North Turramurra, Sydney. It was about an hour before dusk,
and I was able to come within ten, fifteen feet of a pair of foraging
lyrebirds. I turned myself into a vocal lyrebird, immitating their call,
as well as about ten other species. This aggravated one of the pair so
much, it decided to scale an angophora that was above where I stood, and
scratch and flick masses of bark and dirt down on my head!!! It was
hilarious. I felt privileged!

Has anyone else had an experience like this with Superb Lyrebirds?

Peace,

Lorne.
