Hello all,
A recent post by Terry Pacey regarding limited ability to access a birding
site set me to thinking, as I have a problem similar to that - only able to
walk over short distances of very easy, flat going, otherwise restricted to
car or wheelchair.
Given that most birding involves scrambling up mountains, or through
semi-jungle, or wading chest-deep through rising tides, I think it might be
some value in having a list of 'access-friendly' sites that can be used by
people with limited mobility.
I must add, I realise that the majority of such sites might be in more
'public' areas and so the numbers of species might be limited, but hey! -
any bird is better than no bird.
Does anyone have a list, or know of one?
Regards
Ralph Reid
