Terry, your exuberance is delightful. Keep it
going.
My Koala was found again today, it
actually was discovered walking 150ft along the street in the road. So I
followed after it to make sure it got off the road before someone in a car
bowled it over. At first it tried to hide behind a tree, but when it realised I
was only six feet away it scampered ( can scampering take place vertically?) up
the tree where it stayed for the rest of the day. I later observed it eating
some leaves, the tree this time being a Mahogany Gum ( Euc. botryoides
), as opposed to the Spotted Gum it was eating yesterday.
Does anyone have a list of which eucalypts Koalas
are supposed to dine on for preference?
I only know of the Manna Gum ( Euc viminalis ?),
common in South Oz, as a main diet.
Tony.
