For those who believe that birders, like most people, can learn by the
mistakes of themselves and others check the Birding-aus archives and read
Keith Brandwood's posting of 1 Sept, 2000.

Compare that posting with mine of 13 Feb 2002.  In 18 months we have learnt
NOTHING.

What can we do?  If these birders can be identified and the behaviour
proven, would the committees of birding groups strip them of their
membership?  Would the rarities groups refuse to accept their submissions?
Would other birders ostracise them?

Now that should make an interesting discussion within the guidelines of
Birding-aus.
