G'day all This was discussed at some length in 1997 (check the birding-aus archives). The best model seems to be that of the American Birding Association: http://www.americanbirding.org/abaethics.htm. I think that Birds Australia was working towards an Australian version of this but maybe Hugo could bring us up to date.
