What colour is the bosses' head, clothes? or hat?

Does he routinely carry anything with him out to the
car, such as a bag or briefcase?

HAS he done anything to them? they will remember -

OR mistake his clothing/form/etc for something they
dislike and remember - usually having to do with their
children ....

G'day everyone,

I have to ask if this behaviour is 'normal' for
Magpie-Larks.

No it is NOT normal ..... but then the encroachment by
humans on their world does change things for them.

I work in Stuart Park, an inner suburb of Darwin.

Ello Ello Ello a Denise~ite eh :^D

I work for a car dealership,

Black and White Taxi's? :^D

in the service department and a pair of Magpie-Larks
have taken up residence on the roof of the workshop.

Learning a new trade perhaps? :^D

The pair fly around the workshop sitting on top of the
cars and peering through the windows at the office
workers.

Yep looks like nothing new in the world of Mexcanics
:-]

They are cute and have been named Heckle and Jeckle by
the staff. They have 'lived' here for a couple of
years
now and have raised two families.

I bet in fact it's longer then you think?

They love morning 'smoko' and lunchtime because they
fly in and grab scraps. Once they have got a bit of
tucker they fly off to the roof and shout out their
alarms to keep the other birds away.

Which Trade Union do they belong too? :^D

But that is not all they do - they stalk and dive bomb
my boss.

Hey they must be paid up members already :^D

No one else is bothered by them - just the boss.

Well being the workplace that it is I most sincerely
hope you ALL wear your goggles on site?

Whenever he sets foot outside the office they're after
him, not just the male - the females does it too.

Pecking him on his head if they get a chance.

How often have they had a chance?

Around 5.30 pm it's like a scene from Alfred
Hitchcock's 'Birds'

Viva La 'Birds" and Alfred.

They set up camp on a nearby fence that gives them a
vantage point of the two doors. They wait - patiently
-for up to half an hour sometimes.

Have they clocked on or off?

As we all walk out of the office they start to flutter
around and get all excited - calling out their warning
song (war song my boss calls it)

No No they are losing the food supply for the rest of
the day?????

then they follow us through the carpark, flying from
car to car to fence, until we leave his side and they
dive bomb him, occasionally successfully pecking him.

So they have NEVER hit a human?

They really hate him.

Strong word is that? have you asked them if that is
true?

Now we escort him to his car - joking that one day
they'll follow him home and in the middle of the night
he'll hear a beak tapping at his bedroom window!

I get that down here but not from an Escort :^D

Is this normal for these birds to single out one
person - as far as he knows he hasn't done anything to
upset them? Any hints on how to stop the behaviour?

Over to you

Sally Roddom

Well Sally I'd wager there is something within the
bosses appearance that reminds them of a bad news
event they experienced with other humans?
