I was down at Deans Marsh over the long weekend. Some birds of interest were a small flock of White-throated Needletails flying ahead of the storm building up on Saturday evening. Also saw five Beautiful Firetails in the Otway Range forests and a Bassian Thrush at Triplet Falls. Saw a large number of spoonbills just south of the Twelve Apostles, at a river inlet, 10 Royal and 30 Yellow-billed Spoonbills. Regards Bruce Wedderburn.
