Hi all I do agree with Scott O'Keefe that Birding-Aus is a suitable forum for this sort of discussion - but I would also like to thank Simon Mustoe for his clear explanation of certain issues. However, could I PLEASE request that before anyone starts to whip up this topic in earnest again, that they read all that has been said before - it's all there on the archive - go to the address in my signature block and click on ARCHIVE then search for "Banding" or "Cannon" (netting). That should give you something to get your teeth into, and hopefully avoid us going over too much old ground in the same way.
