Hello all, Terry Pacey, re your message bird baths. I have installed bird baths at all the homes I have lived in over the past 20years and have kept records of the different methods of bathing of each species. I would be grateful for any observations on this subject, I need to know how the species enters the water, how long it remains in the water and how wet the plumage becomes. One of the peculiarities I found was that the White-throated Treecreeper is the only species that always reverses into the water, this was the case at both my last homes. Thank you Keith Brandwood Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
