I've just spent five days and most of four nights on the Werribee Treatment
Complex (sewage farm) doing a survey of Water-rats (Hydromys chrysogaster)
for Melbourne Water. I didn't really have time for any dedicated birding,
and it wasn't part of the brief, but the WTP is so chock-a-block with birds
that seeing a few is inevitable! The attached list of birds and other fauna
was made on the WTP, covering almost all areas, between Tuesday 20/11 to
Saturday 24/11/2001.
Any questions? ... let me know, and I'll try to provide details on
particular species.
