At about 6am there was a great disturbance in the backyard (North Cremorne, NSW) with four Channel-billed Cuckoos flying around, calling and sometimes landing on a tall Angorphora costata. These birds were on their own, and were not being chased by mobs of smaller birds like Noisy Miners and Currawongs. Could this be a mating scene or just birds having fun ? Anyone else experience this ?
