I would say that the numbers of the White-winged Trillers do vary from time
to time in Sydney with irruptions every now and then. In some places, you
can find upto five or more pairs all nesting in the same group of trees
(often with B&W birds such as Willy Wagtails, Restless Flycatchers and
Magpie larks) in some parts of western Sydney. However, now alot of them do
pass through this time of year and can often be found passing through less
suitable habitat along the coast. Alot of suitable habitat (genearally
lightly timbered paddocks) for them is often on private property.
