Several years ago we camped in Kinchega NP on the Darling in NSW, in
September. A pair of Striated Pardalotes had taken possession of a Fairy
Martin nest on the ceiling slats of the old woolshed, and were carrying
in nest material. The newly returned Fairy Martins seemed very disturbed
by this. There were Fairy Martins in great swarms, and hundreds of old
nests, but only one nest seemed to have interloping Pardalotes.
