Gang-gangs are still around the Brighton Golf Course area, last record 25/9 (with 8+ mainly in the cypresses near South Road on 20/9) but the Native hen has not been seen since 20/9. White-fronted Tern nos. are increasing ! Yesterday (Friday) pm at 1315 there were 35 at Ricketts Point (well 10 or so were definitely White-fronted and none of the others was particularly questionable) after Moira Longden reported 24 in the morning. Unusual small birds scare: three records of Horsfields Bronze-cuckoos and one of Striated Pardalote.
