I agree that identical calls can possibly signify the same species, but I 
don't know if the same can be said of the reverse.  e.g. Lyrebirds are 
different in different areas.  Grey Shrike-thrush is certainly different.  
Magpie-lark is different.

Simon Nevill (of Falcon Tours) knows the south west better than almost 
anyone, and he can pick the difference in the Western Bristlebird call 
between Two People's Bay and Fitzgerald River.
