Thanks to Rohan Clarke who replied about the Western / Mallee Whipbirds.
It is Monday, so maybe I am not thinking 100%. Rohan referred to Schodde

So to get it clear in my mind :

Two People's Bay - probably Western
Stirling Range - Mallee
Fitzgerald River - Mallee
Waychinicup - Mallee?? this is the one I am uncertain of. I had thought
it was probably Western

If this is the case, then Western Whipbird is probably in a worse state
than Noisy Scrubbird which is now relatively secure after being
translocated to several sites.

By the way, what was the basis for Schodde's differentiation between the
races / species?
