G'day all

Last weekend I visited Mt. Napier State Park (15k south of Hamilton) and climbed
to the summit of the crater. I was disappointed to find 2 nanny goats and three
kids munching away at the top. Apparently there are estimated to be 50 goats in
the park and I'm informed by a Parks Victoria employee that funding for control
is never forthcoming. One bird species in particular is suffering from the
impact of the goats around the crater rim. The goats are also preventing any
chance of revegetation of the upper slopes.

Obviously the situation will only get far worse the longer control measures are
neglected.

Can any of you give me some advice on ways to get some action on this? I guess
I need names, email addresses, strategies etc.

Cheers

Steve
