Hi all as far as I am aware, there are no Welcome Swallow records for the Top End of the NT for the current atlas. There are three dots for the first atlas, and my suspicious mind questions whether there were URRFs sent out for these. If not, the records may be considered unreliable, even though most people would consider that the species is pretty easy to pick. Again I applaud Tony Russell on being prepared to take notes on an apparently widespread and easily identified bird, and for doing his homework in the first place and being aware that the species is not to be expected in the northwest. Happy birding Niven Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
