A large number of
Rainbow Lorikeets were moving from north to south this evening between 17:00 and
18:00 along the beachfront at Clifton Beach (25km N of Cairns) - groups up to
about 40 - not stopping - fairly low level flight
The Melaleucas
(Paperbarks) have just about finished flowering so presumably the same has
happened further north and they are on the move to new feeding
areas
