Other species that I have heard all or a significant part of the night are : Brush Cuckoo (for a month or more December / January in the wet season) Noisy Scrubbird (in May) Common Koel (part of the night for a shorter period in December) Brown Honeyeater (about two hours before dawn around lights) Rainbow Lorikeets (as a group for a hour or so after dark but probably competing for roosting places) Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
