Have noticed many Figbirds in Harrington (mid-north NSW coast) feed on LOTS of Cicadas when I am there in the summer. At this time of the year the cicadas are abundant. Have seen large flocks of Figbirds actively persuing them in the sand dune vegetation at Harrington. Also in this same area, have noticed Regent Bowerbirds, Black-faced cuckoo-shrikes and ofcourse Cicadabirds feeding on them aswell. At the same time the rainforest figs have alot of fruit.
