On Saturday afternoon, my wife and I decided to go for a walk along the
dirt track that runs south from Broulee behind the beach. I remarked to
her that I had on several occasions found Glossy Black Cockatoos feeding
the Casuarinas that grow along the track. We hadn't gone more than 50
yards when we found 3 Glossy Blacks feeing quietly alongside the road. It
is always a great pleasure to find these birds. They were quite unafraid,
as we stood and watched them for fifteen minutes or so at a distance of
about 15 feet. The female had patches of yellow on the side of the head.
