Painted Snipe in SA

A friend has asked me to make this posting on behalf of his son who found a 
dead painted snipe in Dec.  The lad was helping his
father with
some fencing, and he found the snipe along the fence line, near a drain.  The 
property is in the Rendelsham district of the lower
south east, South Aust.
