Hmmm, the needletails were also active over the Sunshine Coast hinterland [SEQ] this weekend. I saw a small group zipping around Flaxton on Sat. and a larger group zipping over Eumundi today. Other highlights out of 58 species atlassed round Flaxton this weekend included a crested shrike-tit in the state forest beside Flaxton Mill Rd, a collection of pacific bazas near the bottom of Old Mill Rd, and an azure kingfisher zipping up Allara St [first time I've seen one fly along a footpath rather than a stream]. Regards, Laurie.
