g'day all,

Some musings...

Frank O'Connor wrote 17/11/00
"Why else would anyone go to .......etc, etc, etc and every sewage pond that I could find where I went !!!!"

Denise Goodfellow wrote
"I forgot to say that a local Supreme Court judge Sally Thomas read her own work 'Ode to a Sewage Pond' at both of the soirees"

Except perhaps for Werribee, Sewage Ponds are an under recognised resource for both Birds and Birdo's.

There was recent discussion about diverting water from the Broome facility to a golf course ?
(The Birding-Aus Archives Search broker is broke so I could not check out the details)

Here in the Isa, the Pond supervisor allows Birdo's (with identifying binoc's in full view) to pass under the boom gate "out of hours"

I understand the Alice Springs ponds even has hides.

Is there any body out there who could start compiling an annotated location list of Australia's Sewage Ponds ?
Perhaps the simplest way of keeping such a list up to date would be a Web Page ?

Are there any takers for someone to collate and compile this info ?

Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
