Brisbane Birders, This morning, Friday 27/10/00, the little bittern was seen at Sherwood Forest (A Brisbane Southern suburb). It was in the reeds at the causeway end of the northern pond close to Dunella St. We saw it from the causeway about a metre from the edge of the reeds and about a metre above the water level. Also was a bushen at the end of the other pool on the side away from the carpark. We started about five-thirth but found the birds close to eight o'clock.
