For those that may be interested I have posted a photograph of the Sydney
Tristram's Storm Petrel on to the following website:
http://users.bigpond.net.au/palliser/storm-p.html
For those that do not have access to the web feel free to ask for a copy as
an email attachment. Key features to note include the dark head, greyish
back, extensive carpel bar, lack of obvious pale bases to the primaries,
strongly forked tail and the pale rump. As mentioned previously a full
report will be presented to the Birds Australia Rarities Committee, which
will include field notes and more photos. What a bird to have turn up off
Sydney!
Hope I haven't gripped too many of you!
Please note my new email address and pelagic website address below

Tony Palliser
