Hello Birders
On Mon. 16th Oct. I saw an immature Banded Stilt at Pakenham S.F. South
-East of Melbourne. It was mobbed by the local Pied Stilts.
I have been keeping a fairly regular watch there for about 10 years and it is the first that I have seen. They are generally fairly uncommon East of Melbourne anyway. It prompted me to wonder if any others were turning up in unusual or obscure places ?
Also that day there were 2 Whiskered Terns on passage.
All the best,
Graham Beal
