This is an interesting point. Personally I find 'Wingspan' pretty light weight
and not very interesting. My partner on the other hand is not a birder, but
finds 'Wingspan' quite appealing, and will occasionally read it from front to
back. This probably means that it's working for its target audience?????
I find BA's in-house newsletter 'Galah' a lot more interesting, as it deals
with birds, bird research, birding, etc. in a bit more of a down to earth,
informative manner. The format of 'Galah' is anything but glamorous, but
befits its more functional mode.
