Hi,
Just writing to say that the "Right of common access" is working fine and
you are all very welcome to pick some Swedish raspberries or mushrooms. But
there are some drawbacks, like the current discussion among the public in
certain areas about the berry picking tourism/industry - they claim that
locals can´t find enough berries for their owm use due to all the
tourists/imported labour. In fact it is (during a good year) worth paying
the airfare to Sweden from Thailand for the poor rice field worker. The 3
months in Sweden will usually pay their ticket AND give them money
equivalent to a one year rice-field-working salary. Please note! If you
ever consider this remember it is HARD work and many back aching hours a
head of you.
When travelling in OZ it is sometimes frustrating with all those fenced off
areas and "No trespassing" signs, like when you are driving around and
looking for a good camping spot. Have not so far been accused to
trespassing someones property, just once it was close. Looking for
parasitic fungi on a roadside meadow through binoculars made the farmer a
bit suspicious....
