G'day all
We have starlings nesting in ventilation pipes in our house (I have tried to get
rid of them, truly I have, but the pipes are way up high and I can't reach them
without great risk to life and limb). They must have chicks because yesterday
and today three Laughing Kookaburras have been taking it in turns to fly up to
the pipes and try to get in. There is nothing for them to perch on and they are
too big to get in but hopefully a chick or two will venture close enough to the
edge to be snatched. With luck they will all get taken and the starlings will
decide the pipes are not a good nest site in the future.
