On a lightning visit to the Capertee Valley yesterday, Coco Creek proved an interesting place to stop, with Scarlet Honeyeaters calling from the tops of the trees, a flock of at least 17 Diamond Firetails feeding on the road, Rufous Whistlers back and in full voice, a Collared Sparrowhawk soaring overhead, and of course, many other species. Coco Creek is the second bridge from Capertee, where casuarinas line the creek at the bottom of the long descent.
