 Hi Netters,
A visit to a pond on the north side of Botany Bay (south of
Sydney) with the NSWFOC 3 years ago revealed an Egyption Goose with no leg
band.
As Botany Bay is not far from Africa there was a discussion on
whether to tick it or not.
After a phone call to the zoo I was informed all their birds had
bands and the goose is common in private collections. Damn.
I thought I would check two months ago to see if it was still
there and the outcome showed "he or she" had settled in and mated with a
white Greylag Goose. The offspring were something colourful to see. Two
little Egyptlag Geese.

All the Best
