I head a Koel calling on the 6th, at Pymble, my first this season. Also first return of Horsefield's Bronze-cuckoo for the Bankstown District on the 3rd, at Deepwater Park, Milperra. Some time ago Edwin was commenting on the Figbirds he saw at Guilford I think I think it was, which is not far from Bankstown. 8 Figbirds were seen in Bankstown on the 6th by Terrill Nordstrom, the largest number recorded for the Bankstown District. They have recently taken up residence and I will be checking on them to see if any breeding takes place.
