A big thank you to everyone who provided information for our recent trip to
Australia, especially Michael Atzeni, David Geering, Carol Probets and
Andrew Stafford. I saw 11 new birds and also a number of species I?d only
seen once or twice previously. I guess not many birders have visited
Australia and seen Masked Owl and Regent Honeyeater but not Black Swan!!
We?ve tended to concentrate on certain areas so have not visited many
wetland habitats, hence the absence of Black Swan on our trip list. Thanks
also for an excellent pelagic trip off Wollongong ? a good variety of
species and also fairly comfortable sea conditions.
