Glenn:
I have just emailed a friend of mine who holds a position on the
Victorian Avicultural Council and asked him for some contacts in the NSW
counterpart to see if such ducks are registered in NSW. My feeling from
25 years of involvement in aviculture until recently is that these birds
were not in aviaries in Australia. In some states, foreign birds have
to be registered with the state wildlife authority, as do native
species.
I will forward his response of that of others onto yourself and the list
as soon as I receive one.
Regards
John Harris
