Not sure if you will get this in time Jenny, however a good spot to see them is 
the 'Split Point Lighthouse' at Aireys Inlet.

They are also common on the roads around the small township of Separation Creek 
on the Great Ocean Rd (just before Wye River). A short stroll around this town 
(with an ear out for the high pitched call) will provide you with some good 
sightings.

The general rule is that they can be found in the short band of heath between 
the beach and the forest - which also happens to be the place people want to 
build holiday houses!
