hi folks,

thanks so much for all your advice. i received heaps of emails privately
and via this list.

it is very reassuring to read that 'our' ducks will be happy enough with
the trees around the dam. (there are heaps of big and small trees around
the dam. as well as enough grass, bushes and an open area, etc...)

i would just love to see the young ones jump out of their homes for the
first time and watch them landing on the ground. :) is there any specific
time of the day they usually do that? how old are they when they first
bounce out of their hollows? (as our balcony gives us a great view of the
dam without being too close to any nests/hollows it might be possible to
get a peek. ever the optimist ;)

thanks again for all your answers,
andrea :))
